One Harris Christmas Celebration 2018

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given….” (Isaiah 9:6). Happy birthday, JESUS!

Every year, Harris Memorial College glorifies the birth of our Savior, Lord Jesus Christ. The celebration was interesting and worthwhile as the faculty, staff, students and parents banded together to have fun and  give praises to God.

With the theme, “Therefore, Go as One,” the program started with a Christmas antiphonal singing. Shortly afterwards, Rev. Estelito M. Binuya Jr., HMC’s Chaplain, threw light upon the reason for celebrating Christmas, while HMC’s President, Dr. Cristina  N. Mañabat, gave her warm Christmas greetings. Perhaps the most amusing part of the celebration was the arrival and participation of Jollibee’s mascot.

It was indeed a copious thanksgiving and celebration for there was a variety of delicious food, including lechon. Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Apparently, everybody was full and happy, because it is C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S.

Christmas time again, we praised God and sang in unison!

Harris as one family celebrated, for to us a Savior is born!

Relaxed and in festive spirits, students, parents, staff, and faculty,

In each other’s company, we were pleased, thankful, and happy.

Surprisingly, Jollibee showed up and rendered a jolly dance;

The Harris folks, especially the kids, enjoyed it and had fun.

Merrily, the entertaining presentations and games continued,

And then, it was time for lunch to relish the delectable food.

So, with one accord, the Harris community ate and felt good.
